A little hard to find but worth the effort. Cozy atmosphere and great Venetian food, especially the antipasti di pesce and the frittura mista. A must is the "sgroppino" that concludes your meal. Good ratio quality-price.

Anice stellato

A bit out of the way, worth trying for its excellent traditional food and wine. Good ratio quality-price.

Very small and informal restaurant with cozy atmosphere and good Venetian food ( mainly fish ). Reasonable prices.

Da Ivo

Small restaurant considered one of the best in town for it's cuisine and the excellent service. Prices are accordingly.

Harry's Bar

Made famous by Hemingway for being his favourite hang out, it's still one of the most appreciated restaurants in Venice. Excellent cuisine and perfect service. Prices are accordingly.

Alla Madonna

Not a typical Venetian atmosphere but the food is great. Good ratio quality-price.

Caffè Florian

right in piazza S. Marco, it is the oldest cafe in town. It is worth a visit to take in the marvellous interior decoration that dates back to the XVII century.

Caffè Quadri

In Piazza S. Marco, on the opposite side from caffè Florian, this is another historical cafe, with great atmosphere and good service.

Caffè Lavena

In Piazza S. Marco, known for the greata expresso and the beautiful music.

Oldest tavern in Venice it's worth going just for the delicious snacks and good wines. Only stand up.

Very small tavern ( just a few tables ) in Rialto with good Venetian snacks and wines. Reasonable prices.
